Heat pumps
Heat your home the green way with a heat pump.
Heating our homes currently accounts for a huge 13-14% of the UK’s total carbon emissions. By installing a heat pump, you can heat your home using renewable energy rather than burning fossil fuels. With a new £5,000 grant scheme from the government open since April 2022, it’s a good time to explore green heating.

We recently acquired Igloo Works, an established heat pump provider. They work with households across southern England and the midlands to design bespoke heating systems and install heat pumps and other upgrades required such as hot water cylinders, pipework and radiators. Go to Igloo Works’ website to find out whether your area is covered, and to request a personalised quote.
Get money off with the Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Households in England and Wales are eligible for a government grant to reduce the cost of installing a heat pump.
Eligible households can receive a one-off grant of £5,000 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. As a registered installer, Igloo Works will apply for the grant on your behalf so that you don’t have to deal with deadlines or paperwork.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has made a total of £450 million available for supporting households to switch to greener heating. Individual grants are offered on a first come, first served basis – so enquire soon to make sure you don’t miss out.
Reduce your carbon footprint and your bills
Burning fossil fuels to heat your home is expensive, not to mention unsustainable for the planet in the long term.
Air source heat pumps do require initial investment; but in the long term you could make savings on your energy bills due to their impressive efficiency and the fact that the electricity used to power your pump will generally cost less than the gas or oil you used to use for heating.
